John Sayler is the owner of Total Tax Solutions. He was born and raised in Bismarck, ND, and is a Veteran of the North Dakota Army National Guard with 23.5 years proudly served on Active Duty. John loves to hunt, fish, and find loopholes in the Internal Revenue Code to save tax dollars. He has been preparing State and Federal Income tax returns for over 15 years. John is also a Certified Tax Coach through the American Institute of Certified Tax Planners. He believes in personally contacting each of his taxpayers to ensure the utmost professionalism and accuracy when preparing their tax returns. He looks forward to assisting you and your family  save tax dollars.

Calder served 25 years in the North Dakota Army National Guard and retired in June 2025. He brings that same work ethic, discipline, and attention to detail to his role as a Tax Preparer at Total Tax Solutions. He supports the preparation process through backend tax work and final return reviews, helping ensure every return is accurate and complete before it’s filed. Outside of work Calder enjoys hunting, fishing, playing hockey, and spending time with his wife and their two children.

Ivy was born and raised in Mandan, ND, and is proud to serve the community she calls home. She specializes in individual and small business tax returns, as well as entity setup at Total Tax Solutions. She enjoys getting to know her clients and building lasting relationships so she can assist them in the best way possible. Her goal is to make your experience professional, personable, and knowledgeable while helping you feel confident and supported every step of the way. Ivy is married with two kids and two fur pups, and family is a huge part of her life. They love spending time together playing games, watching movies, and camping whenever summer rolls around.

Tyler is a Payroll Manager with 9 years of experience helping employers navigate payroll complexities across all 50 states. He supports the full payroll lifecycle, keeping the process clear, compliant, and stress-free for business owners.

Tyler earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance from North Dakota State University and later received his Juris Doctor in Minnesota. With training in both finance and law, he brings a compliance-first approach to payroll and is known for translating complex regulations into practical guidance that reduces risk and helps employers avoid surprises.
